Schweighofer Fiber GmbH is part of the Austrian Schweighofer Group.

Its core business is the efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly use of wood as a raw material to produce high-quality viscose cellulose and bio energy.

Schweighofer Fiber is one of the largest producers of green electricity in the state of Salzburg. The Hallein site in Tennengau, which is approximately 15 km south of the city of Salzburg, employs 230 people. At around 40 hectares, the production area is the largest industrial site in the state of Salzburg.
